Alberto Scandola (Verona, 1973) is Full Professor of Film Studies at the University of Verona. He received his academic education at the University of Padua (Master's degree in History of Cinema) and at the University of Paris 3 (DEA Etudes Cinématographiques). He teached Film Analysis and Italian cinema at theUniversity of Nice (2001-2003) and History of Film at the University of Padua (2003-2004).
He's co-director of editorial series "Actors Studio" (Edizioni Kaplan) and deputy director of LIMEN (Center for Interdisciplinary Research on the Fantastic in Performing Arts, University of Verona). He's member of SERCIA (Société Etudes et Recherche Cinéma Anglophone) and AIRSC (Associazione italiana per le richerche di storia del cinema). His research interests are centered on Performing Studies, Star Studies, Contemporary Italian cinema and French author cinema (Jean-Luc Godard, Alain Resnais, François Truffaut).
His essays and articles have appeared in «La Valle dell'Eden», «Fata Morgana», «Cinémaction», Bianco e Nero», «Acting Archives Review», among other publications.
