Adriano D'Aloia (Milan 1980) is Associate professor of Cinema, photography and television in the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design at the Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. He received his academic education at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan: PhD in Cultures of Communication/Film studies (Dissertation on Empathy in the Film Experience, 2010); MA Media studies (Dissertation on Rudolf Arnheim‘s film theory, Visiting student at Yale University, 2005); BA in Communication studies (2002). From 2016 to 2018 he has been Assistant professor in the Faculty of Communication Science at the International Telematic University UniNettuno, Rome. He has been adjunct professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and at IULM - International University of Languages and Media, Milan, until 2018. He is member of the board of the PhD program in “Cognitive Sciences”, Università degli Studi di Messina.
